We have been working with Prism Media Group since mid-2017, assisting with their website development needs for their content marketing clients. In October we had the pleasure of working with them on a full-scale custom website redesign. Check out the before & after pictures below. This was our first Content Marketing Agency client, and it was such a perfect fit because we work with the importance of good content every day – it was like we were on the same page all the time, and the product of the redesign is something both we and the client are ecstatic about. It’s unique, modern, simple, elegant, communicative, and engaging.
The focus of the visual aesthetics of the site was to represent the idea of a prism in having various colors of the rainbow, while not sticking with the same old ‘ROY G BIV’ colors we grew up seeing in a color wheel (shoutout to Jerry at Andocia did an incredible job with the logo redesign and branding update for Prism). Without getting too literal, you’ll see ‘the rainbow’ represented throughout the site in color blocks that give you angles reminiscent of triangles or prisms.
An important concern we had to keep in mind during the design of the website was to avoid having the branding of Prism be too strong on the website, because there was a concern a potential client might not see a fit between that branding and their own. Prism’s job (which they are very good at) is to create content that fits and expresses their clients’ brands and then help broadcast to their target audience. So, having too overwhelming of a brand themselves might pigeonhole them into only winning clients with similar branding, which would be a disservice to both their company and to all the potential clients who would miss out on their great services.
This was a challenge, for sure. But oh man, are we in love with the result.
While we were apprehensive about creating a whole new site for our firm, we knew it had to be done. Our content marketing agency is now providing services that are more evolved from what we did just a few years ago so we needed to tell a story that reflects who we are now. That’s hard since we spend most of our time growing the business and servicing clients. It’s easy to see that the Hooked on Code team is extremely strong at designing / developing sites but their ability to help us shape the content on our site saved us time and allowed us create something better than we imagined through a collaborative effort.
