About Torre Capistran
In 2014 Torre Capistran founded Hooked On Code, a boutique WordPress website agency, as a 24-year old. A graduate of the SMU Cox School of Business in Dallas, with a degree in marketing, Torre now finds herself fulfilling her creative calling. She is a self-taught web designer with a passion for continuous learning and skill development. After a few years of working in digital marketing, Torre decided to transition into entrepreneurship with unwavering confidence. She knew there was a better way to provide reliable results for website development clients while developing meaningful relationships. Through her client-side experiences, Torre observed a gap in the market in both pricing and service excellence with regards to website development projects. She set out on a mission to cut the bullsh*t out of the web development industry and make the process an enjoyable journey for all involved. Since founding Hooked On Code as a one woman team, Torre has grown the agency to encompass three full time employees with a team of outstanding contractors (all women). As a tool to scale her business, Torre began implementing EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), a system that is considered a business best practice and a way to develop her team efficiently and effectively, while encouraging a positive workplace culture. In 2020, she integrated Culture Index to survey potential employees and clients to ensure her team remains full of highly efficient, self-motivated, and detail-oriented creatives. Culture is so important to Torre that her business operates completely around the core values she established in 2019: Keep it Simple, Be Yourself, Relentless Forward Motion, Do What You Say, and Be Delightful AF. Torre’s distinct focus on company culture led her to double Hooked On Code’s revenue in 2019 (all from referrals), retain her team and 95% of her client base during the COVID-19 pandemic. These same values have since led to the development of the agency’s 100% Happiness Guarantee and unlimited vacation policy (employees take as much time off as needed). Torre has designed a very specific process and approach to website development and redesign which has been proven to save clients up to 75% more time compared to the average agency project experience and has grown her major accounts by 25-100% year over year. Her goal is not strictly to create an impeccable end product but to remain focused on delight and simplicity.
