Backend Website Rebuild
SPOTSEE
Enterprise Technology company
Problem: The Marketing Director at SpotSee came to us with frustrations about the company’s newly redesigned marketing site. Not only had the website project taken 6 months longer than promised, but the end product (although being a design she loved), was essentially non-functional and nearly static. Even the smallest content update could cause the page being edited to break completely. Too much was custom coded or built in a way that only the original developers could have efficiently edited, and her hands were tied. It was crucial to the client to not only rebuild the website backend to allow for flexibility and ease of edits and additions as the company grew, but also to find a truly reliable, trustworthy, transparent web agency partner.
Solution: Working closely with the marketing team, we helped SpotSee with a complete functional rebuild within WordPress using the über-flexible Divi Theme framework, matching the existing front-end design exactly. This back-end functional rebuild allowed the design that was approved remained the same while making the website more durable and flexible for edits and changes. We used Divi’s extensive built-in customization and design settings and minimal, clearly commented and semantic CSS where needed to match the design and content layout of the website while improving backend functionality in immeasurably positive ways.
At the project’s completion, the client can comfortably make any urgent changes themselves when needed. We have the ongoing pleasure of working with the Marketing team via a monthly website Care Plan to ensure their time can be spent on other things while we manage the bulk of content changes, additions, and updates to their flexible and functional website.
SpotSee has become on of our most loyal long term clients, and we are so proud to be considered their web agency of record for ongoing website maintenance as they experience continued growth as a company.
